Physiotherapy is the science of function, movement and balance of the body. A physiotherapist has a detailed understanding of how the body works,  knowledge of disease, injury and the healing process. They also have the ability to distinguish what is normal and abnormal in posture, balance, movement and function in the body.

Working with patients, physiotherapists promote independence and prevent injuries and disability. Physiotherapy treatment can include:Therapeutic exercises, Manual therapy, Acupuncture and other modalities.

Most extended health care plans provide coverage for physiotherapy services. Please check with your insurance company if you have coverage.
